Modelling Complex Adaptive Systems for Policy Analysis     Instructor - Prof Kaveri Iychettira 3-0-0  Complex adaptive systems are hidden in plain sight — examples include cities, economies, biological cells, ecosystems, and the internet, amongst others. In such systems, the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts. The scientific community has only recently begun discovering the fundamental properties of these systems; properties   such as randomness, self-organisation, non-linearity, and emergence. No longer constrained by traditional tools,  recent advances in computational techniques such as agent-based modelling have been helping scientists better explore, understand, and predict behaviours within such systems.  In this course, the students will apply complex-adaptive-systems thinking along with agent-based modelling

Shortlisting Criteria for essay round (MPP in STI & Development 2021)

MPI in STI & Development Admissions Update (July 11, 2021)

We have completed the first shortlisting of candidates for the MPP program. All shortlisted candidates have been emailed instructions for the next steps in the process. Please check your inbox as well as spam folder to ensure receipt of all emails from IIT Delhi.  For shortlisted candidates, the selection involves a two stage process including an essay and an oral interview (after a second shortlisting based on essay grades). All details have been clearly mentioned in the email so please read them carefully.  For those not shortlisted, we thank you sincerely for your application and interest in the program. MPP in STI & Development Admissions Update (July 5, 2021)

The applications for the MPP in Science Technology and Innovation (STI) and Development have been received and are currently being processed. We thank all applicants for their overwhelming response to the program in its first year.  Going forward, the next steps in the admissions process are as follows:   All shortlisted candidates will be emailed in the coming few days with an essay topic along with instructions on submission of the essay as well as information on the grading criteria.  All shortlisted candidates will get 48 hours to compose and submit the essay online.  Candidates will then be shortlisted for a round of interviews based on the essay grades.
